What is an escape game?
Escape games or Room escape Games as some people refer to them, are live adventure games where teams of players have to escape the room , usually in an hour. The usual number of people playing a room escape game is between 2 and 6 players depending on the difficulty level of the game.
How long does an escape game last?
The usual time given to escape the room or complete the challenge is 60 minutes. In Belfast, at Escape Rooms Belfast, the record for escaping the room is 35 minutes . This was with 6 very good players. Most teams will take between 50 to 60 minutes depending on how many players they have and how clever they are. Can more than 6 players play in a game? No. The maximum number of players in a game is 6 people. This is not only how many the room comfortably hold , but also ensures that there are enough puzzles for everyone to contribute to . If you have more than 6 players , consider booking 2 escape games and race against your friends in one of our team challenges.
Can couples Play?
Couples are welcome to play our escape games. We can adjust the level of difficulty in the games by simplifying certain elements of the games.
Can children play?
Anyone under 16 years old needs to be accompanied by an adult. We normally tell parents that the games are suitable for 12 years plus. However we have had quite a number of younger escapees. We have had a few 8/9 year olds who have been very helpful to the family team effort. We can try , where possible to delegate certain tasks specifically to the junior agent. We realise now that its probably best to leave the decision up to mum and dad on how old the kids should be.
When should we arrive ?
Its best to arrive 5 to 10 minutes before your game. We need to give you a small introduction to the game and you may need to visit the loo before being locked up in a game for an hour.
